This coming Tuesday, we have two free online classes you won’t want to miss. The first class is called “How to Have the Government Make Your Down Payment” and it is scheduled at 4/15 from 4:00-5:00p.m. PDT. The second class is called “First Time Buyers Assistance Programs” and is scheduled at 4/15 from 7:00-8:00p.m. Both classes are free and packed with helpful information to get a first time Buyer on the road to home ownership. Even if you aren’t a first time buyer, feel free to attend the classes and pass the information along to a friend or family member that could benefit from it! We hope to see you online in class.

We apologize that our links on our website for this weeks classes did not function properly, but the glitch has been corrected and the remaining links are all functioning. Our first Buyer Class is “Home Buyer Basics.” From starting to look for a home right down to the closing day, this class informs you about the process and procedures, the parties to a transaction, who does what, and what is expected of you.

The second Buyer Class is “Frequently Asked Home Buyer Questions.”

This is an exciting time in the East Contra Costa real estate market right now! Our pending sales activity in Antioch, Brentwood, Discovery Bay, Oakley, Pittsburg and Bay Point is WAY UP, and closed sales activity should follow suit this month. Even if only half the pending sales for the area close, our sales will be up 20% over March of 2007.

What does this mean for consumers? Is it still a “Buyer’s Market?” Are prices still declining? Have we hit “bottom” yet?
